　　教育即生长，顾名思义，教育是将与生俱来的能力和天性健康的生长，而不是将外界的东西强行的塞入。而如何做到“健康”并“生长”是每个家长应该学到的。
　　求知与好奇心是每个人灵魂深处所固有的。引导而不应该是利用这种天性。孩子上课喜欢好动，喜欢看课外书喜欢左顾右盼，喜欢看窗外的事物，这些在大多数家长眼里就会理解成孩子不守规矩，不认真听课的不良表现，何曾想这是好奇心在作祟，正确解放天性，引导求知欲。孩子讨厌一成不变的讲课方式，讨厌课本，就应该引导她如果想更好的玩耍，听懂窗外的鸟儿在唱的歌，操场上大朋友们玩的游戏，课本上的东西就是基础，会很好帮你长大，如果这些你都做好了，我们就去看你喜欢的舞台剧，去博物馆看500万年前的恐龙“鸟儿”。
　　周国平在书中提到“中国家长的眼神”，中国家长对孩子的成长过程中的警告和提醒禁锢了孩子的思想，那种眼神充满关切，却缺乏智慧。我不禁想到自己，平时太多的不安因素围绕在孩子的环境里，社会媒介报道的不安全公共设施，陌生人的险恶人心，混乱的交通秩序，太多的不安定因素，总是担心我的宝贝保护不了自己，想时时刻刻陪着她一起成长，但我明白我们不可能一辈子保护她陪着她，我的女儿也不能成为需要保护的芭比娃娃，她必须独立。孩子的成长需要的也不是这种过度的保护，恰当的保护，让孩子在安全的环境里去学会独立和抵抗，真正的拥有自己的铠甲。我要告诉她陌生叔叔给的东西再好也不可以要，警察叔叔穿什么样的衣服，如何辨别放向和使用前钱币，并在日常生活中锻炼她的这种能力。放养我们是做不到的，但过度保护更不可取。
